About Julie Bushell
Julie Bushell is an internationally recognized leader at the intersection of agriculture, connectivity, and sustainable industry development, with more than 25 years of experience advancing rural economic growth through technology, policy engagement, and strategic innovation. An expert in driving new technology adoption and implementation in often overlooked business segments, expanding market access, turning innovation into scalable growth.
Throughout her career, Julie has focused on solving some of rural America’s most complex challenges – from connectivity gaps and infrastructure limitations to market access and long-term sustainability. She is known for building practical, scalable solutions that strengthen agriculture, protect natural resources, and create durable economic opportunity for communities often left behind.
In 2019, Julie launched Ethos Connected, helping pioneer large-scale IoT and broadband infrastructure to support agriculture, energy, water management, and emerging bioeconomy applications. That work later expanded into broader platform-based solutions supporting conservation, value-added agriculture, and industrial innovation across multiple regions of the United States.
Julie has founded and led multiple organizations dedicated to advancing American reindustrialization, including initiatives that support farmers and ranchers through improved market access, data-driven decision-making, and participation in emerging bioeconomy value chains. Her work has helped her connect thousands of producers and businesses across millions of acres to new opportunities while prioritizing the importance of American values.
In addition to her executive leadership, Julie has played an active role in national and international policy and industry collaboration. She has served in leadership and advisory capacities with organizations such as the Irrigation Association, the FCC Precision Agriculture Connectivity Task Force, and university-affiliated entrepreneurship development boards, contributing to efforts that promote technology advancement, responsible resource stewardship, and workforce development. She is a frequent speaker at national and international forums on agriculture, water resilience, and resilient infrastructure.
In 2025, Julie launched the Rural Frontier Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring rural communities have a meaningful voice in the decisions that shape their economic future. The foundation focuses on sound public policy, fiscal responsibility, and preserving rural values while advancing responsible reindustrialization and infrastructure development.
Julie’s leadership is grounded in integrity, accountability, and a deep respect for the people and communities she serves. She is widely regarded as a builder – of organizations, partnerships, and pathways – committed to strengthening America’s backbone while contributing to global conversations on artificial intelligence, economic development, and resilience.
